Be my sunshine. Be my brilliant one. Bring me warmth and health. Coax me from my soil, from my center. To the sky and into the unfamiliar, help me grow. I want to be free, in the breeze I long to be. In your sight and in your glow I long to be. Shine on me, my love. Share with me your utter beauty. Share with me. I shall grow strong, My stem will strengthen, my leaves will reach, my petals will unfold and up my face will open. I will smile. I will blossom. My gratitude evermore belongs with you. My light bringer. In the darkness, in my youth and naivety, you brought to me sensation. You brought to me happiness. You brought to me life. My love. My. Love.

This piece is short and sweet, but very strong, nonetheless. It has a nice rhythm and flow which makes me curious to read it were it arranged into stanzas, just to see how it would work. The central image, while perhaps a little too familiar, marries perfectly with the sincerity of the piece, lending it an honest grace. Well done.
