Soaked

Soaked

A Poem by rumi
"

can't quite dry off.

"
Came to see your face,
Not knowing it'll be a mistake.
Those hugs replay as they fade away...
Wished you well, instead I fell.
The "I love you" 's were never fake
You just weren't up to date.
Lied to hers n' mine but yours's still fine.
Can't lie, I thought you were mine
But you ain't worth a dime
You've just wasted my time.
Should've known from 2 years back,
Now it's become a stack.
What happened to those rainy days
N' different baking ways?
Playing in the leaves in-front of him n' his car
While watching it go far.
Ran to the bridge in the pour now my feet are sore.
When I told you my harm,
You said you 'cried when you got home'
But I really doubt it cuz you kept quiet.
Can't seem to dry off,
Too soaked from all these memories,
How much do you expect me to carry?
