That Time of the Year

A short poem in honour of this wonderful time of the year!

The Christmas tree

Is filled with light,

The Christmas fairs in the city

Are shining bright.

 

Today’s cook is my mom,

And we are impatiently waiting,

Wildly debating

When Santa would come.

 

The streets

Are covered in snow,

And every front garden

Has a snowman to show.

 

The music around me

Booms through my ear,

It’s Christmas time,

The most wonderful time of the year.
