The weight of invisible thingsA Poem by M 💕A poem about the unseen burdens we carry - unspoken fears, lingering doubts, and quiet sorrows. The weight of invisible things There are weights we carry, thin as air, They drift unseen, but linger there, A burden light, yet heavy too, In shades of gray and muted blue. They gather soft, in quiet hours, In empty rooms, like fragile flowers, Petals made of whispered fears, And thoughts we’ve held for hidden years. No one sees these ghosts we bear, They’re woven fine, beyond compare, A worry here, a fleeting doubt, A sorrow never spoken out. They follow close like shadows cast, A presence from our distant past, And though they lack a face or name, They settle deep, they feel the same. Sometimes they’re hope we never voiced, Or moments when we had no choice, They fill our hearts with restless weight, With words unspoken, half-formed fate. But in the quiet, soft and true, There’s strength in things that we live through, For every weight we’ve yet to shed Has made us whole, and forged our thread. So though invisible, they stay, They shape the path, they light the way, And one day we may come to know The roots of all we’ve held below. Invisible, yet real as air, These silent weights we’ve come to wear, They whisper back, in echoes clear- You’re still enough, despite the fear.
