Hold Me Tight

Hold Me Tight

A Poem by M 💕

Hold Me Tight

Hold me tight -
not like a lover,
not like a promise you plan to keep,
but like someone who knows
what it feels like
to fall apart quietly
in a room full of people
who never notice.

There are nights
when the weight of being
is heavier than it should be,
when silence turns sharp
and memory feels like glass
pressed against my skin.

And I don’t need fixing.
I don’t need saving.
I need a hand,
not to lead me out,
but to sit with me
in the dark.

We are all carrying things
we never named,
ghosts of moments
we pretended didn’t matter.
And some aches
live too deep for words.
They hum beneath the surface,
waiting for the quiet
to remind us they’re still there.

So if you can -
hold me tight.
Like you mean it.
Like you understand
that even if the world
never gets softer,
there is mercy
in a steady hand
and a heart
that doesn’t ask for explanations.

Because sometimes
the bravest thing we do
is not letting go,
but holding on
to someone
who still believes
we're worth the weight.

Featured Review

A rather powerful exploration of vulnerability, loneliness, and the human need for connection. the most important thing sometimes is just presence and empathy in difficult times.

The language is evocative and raw, capturing the emotions of fear, isolation, and the struggle to find solace amidst the chaos of life. The burden of unspoken pain, and the courage it takes to reach out for support is coming through quite well in this piece. the sad part is as time are moving fast ahead, this holding on is the one growing absent from society, thank you for sharing

About
I’m drawn to poetry because it captures what ordinary language often can’t. For me, it’s a way to sit with emotions, untangle thoughts, and turn fleeting moments into something lasti.. more..
