WorrywartA Poem by MacciolaWritten 6/29/16They wore shackles disguised as care that ripped out any sense of trust and trampled it beyond repair A flailing mind but a still exterior that crashes and wails and pleads to everyone, but they know no one can do anything. They know that Rocking yourself to calm, tears whispered, “Stop worrying so much,” as your eyes closed and your mind was caressed with thoughts of your sunshine. You silenced yourself to oblivion For a second, you reminded yourself of your cat who jumped at the wind and his own shadow And the best part is nothing even happened yet
