Broken Hearted

Broken Hearted

A Poem by Mackeroni and Cheese

Broken Hearted

You tell me to learn to break the rules

To try and stand apart

You tell me to ignore my head

To try and follow my heart.

It’s funny you know,

How people change

But all you do

Is stay the same.

It’s hard to believe you

When all you do is lie

You sit there and think you can break my heart

And that it’s perfectly alright to make me cry.

It’s like you find joy

From my sorrowing and pain

And you take all the joy

Out of dancing in the rain

I wish that you could see

the damage that you do

but if you did, even then,

it still would mean nothing to you.
