Hobbies

Hobbies

A Poem by Magical

I was told I had no hobbies.

As if, my self worth, was only defined

By what I put out into the world.

And not by how much I love

Or care

Or help others.

But I did have hobbies

At least

I used to

They seem so far away now

And I seem too tired

Too lost

To find them again.

Because I spent so much effort

Filling you up

That I emptied myself.

And also

Did you even like my hobbies?

Or my interests?

I know

You think I’m a loser

And my friends, too

So you’ve told me.

That if I dared to refind them

Would you even want to be with me?

Or must I change myself

Completely

To become a version of myself

Worthy for you to love.
