Freedom

Freedom

A Poem by magicwhisper

She stumbled forward and looked down,

and she saw darkness, confusion and fear.

She then glanced back at the world

and saw pain, anger, hatred, despair, ignorance, un-acceptance, no love and shattered dreams.

She stepped forward, looked over the edge,

and she could no longer see darkness , confusion  and fear.

She understood what it was that she saw.

It was a place with no more pain, anger, hatred or shattered dreams.

She now saw a escape from harsh world

A harsh world that threw too much at her

Which slowly, but finally broke her

as she knew she could never change what everything had become

she couldn’t change what she had become

She realised that what she saw now was freedom.....
