Lunar

Lunar

A Poem by maktub
"

The moon and me...Read and see.

"

Deathly still, enjoy a sight
filtering a palely beaming light;
a moon of silver circle streaming
across my palms and face are beaming.

A gentle mist descends beams bright
sifting through the pores of night;
a rain of rest spraying and pattering-
crystal tears across the pavement shattering.

The dark draws close, holds you tight;
a whisper of breezes the air alights;
an acidic hiss its voice calling,
or a gently humming lullaby lulling.

The grassblades quiver, aglow in fireflie's flight;
crickets chirp, chirp, and the mosquitoes, they bite.
The round and luminous face glowing
upon this earthling's face, his smile bestowing.
