Oh, today was such a beautiful day
and tonight so much more captivating.
My eyes awoke to streaming of golden rays,
not expecting the glory before them arising.
The fog blew kisses across the air,
framing that glowingly circular sun.
Crystal dew - frozen by frigid temperature -
embraced blades slender, leaves rustling, bushes overgrown.
And the evening...it defies description.
Earth's breath, no longer exposed to light
-overwhelmed with darkly present insulation-
shrouded in the heavy black of night.
And where once was only brushed by fog's kiss,
now the breeze blows burdened -
stooped with a great weight of haziness;
wafting, whispering, leaving no leaf unturned.
Yet still, unchanged, lie grass, trees, and shrubs,
though a tad stiff, owing time this gratitude
-for lovely or not, the day still rushes-
drawn closer by frost shimmering under both sun and moon.
