It All Begins, Ends, Is Surrounded By Him

Got God? And so begins the search...

The way of man with a maiden;
the mother and her wee babe;
affection with caring action.
The repentant accused seek haven;
granting such, by a gesture, He'll save.

Empty your pockets, turn me inside out,
examine the contents of my soul.
I'll pour forth every trivial aspect;
you'll find naught but fragments,
for my being 'tis no longer whole.

My fingers have plucked daisies,
and an armful devotedly bestowed.
Only these blooms are my shredded heart...
my hands gathered forth every shatter,
offering what little I have to show.

Or, more honestly, thrust them at your feet
-never raising my downcast countenance-
and flew far, far, far into the distance.....
fleeing eternity of existence, time, and love -
and, ironically, everywhere was your presence.
