Forgive Me, Me

Self forgiveness is so necessary to living.

I still have not myself forgiven
For all that I have done.

    where to go with what I cannot undo;
    how to cleanse of untold wrong…

Will I never release with peace
matters only God and I can see?

    living with the knowledge of once undone;
    seeking a place to conceal me.

No angel, neither am I a demon,
though far from perfect; I’ve often sinned.

    you forgave me, as i thought not doable;
    still, i deny myself, self-forgiveness.

Without your aid, without your help,
I will never rid me of my guilt.

    human i, why must you continue the fight?
    Supreme has forgotten, still, i judge myself.
