Take A Bow

Take A Bow

A Poem by maktub

The curtain closes,
Performance ends,
So…
Bend at waistline,
And step off stage…

Take a bow.

The lights fading,
Last lines spoken,
So…
Nod to the audience,
Turn and walk away…

Take a bow.

Spotlight is stolen,
This show is yours,
So…
I wave goodbye,
Blend into faces…

Take a bow.

I like the repetition of "Take a bow" throughout this wonderfully well-written poem. Keep on crankin' em out - I love your writing!
