Prismatic...A Poem by Mala MukherjeeA splash of colour
Prismatic..... The monochrome of a folded canvas faded into the eventualities of life. The gravity of wielded blue sky nurtured its unfathomable depth As the sun-kissed sand of a cold sea left her a hue of happiness. The bohemian black bird stopped by humming her tunes of freedom. The virility of a meandering cascade determined to find its way Or the sombre of a snow capped peak breathing in the poised chill Brought her the ornate colours of a bygone spring . A rainbow transformed breaking the serenity of the silent canvas A maze of absurdity entranced its closely knitted fabrics When the charming petal of an blossom not known Kissed her bright and red to transpire a carnal passion within. As a blush of pink glow whispered a tale of unclaimed love. The luminosity of the pigmented undertone graced The once forgotten dull white sheet But in its heart the canvas knew a suffocating solitude Is what that remains withered by the test of time. © 2017 Mala MukherjeeAuthor's Note
