Little bit of NewA Poem by Mala Mukherjee Happy New Year A little bit of New... Little bit of new to those feeble innocent smiles A pristine glisten to those hidden immaculate tears One more baggage of unsullied sentiments On a fragmented bunker of a egoistic heart A new absurdity to an inevitable life A renewal of the lethal routine. An inch more of solemn maturity To those unplanned crazy adventures. Counting the contended new I pack the old, crumbling and frayed To keep it safe and untouched As only for them I cherish the new.
