What it used to be

What it used to be

A Poem by Mandi
"

I was bored and felt like writing a poem; it's really short...

"

The house was old
Its trees towered over it;
Moving with the wind,
Tapping at the grimy windows,
And a very cut up, shredded door          Forced it to be said
That this was a haunted house.

Then along came a skinny old man;
He could not be afraid of such a house
He said he was too old.
So he fixed up the house
And made it look new
And you would never believe
What it used to be.

What I like here is that you have captured an important reality; modest things can be improved by modest people. When we remember that, we lead less cynical lives.

Please give my fairy tale a read.

I liked it. My Mayweather House never has to be worked on or cleaned. The house keeps itself looking like a new construction.

Well, this is pretty good. It might need some more details, but besides that, it well written. Good job! How's that, Mandi?
