Lawsuit of Love
Heart's on trial
Prosecutor's Complaint:
"Denial!"

Order in Court!
The judge proclaimed
Following Heart's argument:
"I cannot be blamed"

Objection!
The prosecution attacked
"Heart's in love,
but denies the fact"
 
Overruled!
Came the judge's correction
"Maybe not denial,
but overprotection"

Your Honor!
Heart explained
"I need not love,
I am self-contained"

All Rise!
Heart's Verdict is in
"Guilty as charged"
Let judgment begin

Sentence:
To love and let be
To risk being broken
In exchange - be free

Court is now dismissed!
Prosecution won its part

This reminds me of some of the poems in Alice's Adventures Through Wonderland, I can't tell you why but it does.

Probably one of the most original poems that I've read on Writer's Cafe, the concept and the execution were brilliant, the message behind it all was very true, above all it is a great piece of writing!
