Walking on these silent roadsA Poem by manju menondiscovering yourselfWalking on these silent roads, I could hear some one’s call. A feeble plea or a mumbling roar, Sounding like my own soul. I knew her well, all my life. She was with me in joy and despair. I cried with her, I laughed with her, And yet one day I lost that affair. My hair is turning slowly grey, My skin is wrinkling all the way, Now I have only words to pray, And nothing, really to say. I heard her once again today. Walking on these silent roads, A feeble plea or a mumbling roar, Sounding like my own soul. © 2016 manju menonAuthor's Note
