Wash Away, Rain

Wash Away, Rain

A Poem by Maria Carmen
"

This was a poem I wrote last night for my friend who was depressed and it was to comfort him. I asked him if it was raining at his house but it was at mine, but I wrote him this poem having to do with the rain so here it is. Enjoy!

“Wash Away, Rain”
a Freestyle poem by
Maria del Carmen

You can cry now, if you want, love.
It’s finally raining.
Raining to wash away the world.

I will cradle you in my arms as you cry.
Your tears flowing like the rain;
Your tears to wash away the world from your mind.

Let the rain fall and
wash away your troubles.
Wash away your fears.
Wash away your world.

It’s okay to cry now, love
Because the rain will help you cope
and to wash away all that you ever knew
so that you will be safe in my arms.

So, wash away, rain.
