A Thanksgiving Prayer

When my brother's home was spaed by the So. California wildfires of '07, it occurred to me that that Thanksgiving, there just might be a few extra-special reasons to be grateful...Written as though he were reading it.

A THANKSGIVING POEM

Thanks to my Mom

For giving me Life

Thanks to my Wife,

For giving me Joy

Thanks to my Kids

For giving me Purpose

Thanks to my Girl, and

Thanks to my Boy.

 

Thanks to the Wind,

For our home being spared

Thanks to the Lord

In Whom I am blessed

Thanks now for this Food,

And the Hands which prepared,

And Thanks to my God,

For all of the rest!
