Lonely Man's Shore

Lonely Man's Shore

A Poem by ~RicaNChemistrY~

The sun slowly sets,
While the waves caress the shore.
I sit looking upon the ocean,
Wondering if loneliness has a cure.

Love can be delicate,
Like the beach's sand.
But every time I try to grasp it,
It just slips through my hand.

Thinking of things that could have been,
Makes the time slowly pass by.
Knowing love remains a fantasy,
Can bring a tear to my eye.

Could it just be destiny,
Is this how I am meant to stay?
To remain in this lonely paradise,
Until the wind carries the sand away?

All I can do for now is dream,
And let my mind go astray.
I will remain on this lonely shore,
Until the day a dove flys my way.
