A Lonely Rose

A Lonely Rose

A Poem by ~RicaNChemistrY~

It is nearing Valentines Day.
The flowers are sitting on display.
The vibrant colors light up the windows.
And across the street lies a lonely rose.

The rose rests in a field of grass.
It watches as the loving couples walk passed.
It watches as the flowers begin to vanish.
To be picked up is the rose's only wish.

The day comes closer.
As the rose grows older.
It's petals begin to wilt.
It's stem begins to tilt.

The day is now full of color.
New lovers meet one another.
In the mist of all the passion, the rose has died.
Because heartfelt hands it could not find.
