Nothing But A Dream

His eyes had never seen such beauty,
For he did not know what to say.
He couldn't describe her in words,
All his thoughts were in disarray.
She had noticed him from afar,
And decided to walk his way.
He hoped they could be something, 
By the end of the day.

He felt like he was lost in a dream.

Their paths had once crossed,
As they had seen each other before.
But something pulled them together,
Under the sunset along the ocean's shore.
Together they sat facing the open sea,
Sharing their feelings and much more.
She was what made him complete.  
She was what he'd been looking for.

He started to believe it wasn't a dream. 

He started to feel strong sensations,  
And his heart began to ignite, 
Beacuse of her gentle smile.
It had a glow that was diamond white.
He couldn't resist and asked for a kiss.
To share their love beneath the moonlight.
Their lips softly touched. 
He began to hold her tight.
But his eyes soon opened,  
Only to see she had left his sight. 
He felt the loneliness return,
And his heart began shatter.
He shed a tear, 
While looking upon the morning sunlight.

Beacuse he realized his love,
Was nothing but a dream.
