I ask you, what is precious anymore, when apathy shines bright amid the gloom... what in this morbid world do you stand for?
How can we treat our planet as a w***e, no rest, our sons are entering the room... I ask you, what is precious anymore?
How does a man proclaim a holy war and place the helpless in the path of doom... what in this morbid world do you stand for?
How can an open mind escape the gore, when a woman kills the child in her womb... I ask you, what is precious anymore?
how is it charity's perceived a chore... does having gold make right, as we presume... what in this morbid world do you stand for?
When people of the world choose to ignore their feelings and promote the thoughts of whom, I ask you, what is precious anymore... what in this morbid world do you stand for?
Aaaaaaaaand this is why I love sci-fi fantasy. Escape the morbid world we live in at least once a day. The world is crazy. People are lost and self forgotten and who can blame them. But about your poem... it's very aptly put into words. Your question was repetitive but sinks in at the end ever more. Again, well done. Tyfs
A hard topic my friend.
"When people of the world choose to ignore
their feelings and promote the thoughts of whom,
I ask you, what is precious anymore...
what in this morbid world do you stand for?"
Life is where you are standing. I once bury a village who starved to death in Africa. So many people and unwanted children. I believe need education and birth control. Some places in Asia and Africa do not use birth control. Children born to suffer. I agree. A scary world with no real answers. Thank you for sharing the powerful poetry. Left the reader with something to think about.

Maybe if world powers like the USA who spend 1.2 trillion on war. Could use 10% of this money. Send water, medicine and food to places in need. Many children go to bed hungry in the USA.

Perfectly depressing piece of poetry.
I think few have the courage to stand for anything.
Most of us just get by the best we can.

Very nicely written, conveying the thoughts and questions of many. Yes this world has gone from bad to worse. There are answers to those questions, solutions as well people just have to want to approach that issue many do not wish to as it requires personal change. Most would rather carry on as they are I mean let's just face it change is difficult. Great write
I think the best part about this poem is the structure and syntax. Really gives it a classical, sophisticated tone, which I tend to personally like best. The subject matter is portrayed profoundly and is relative overall. Nice write man
I love this!! So much disregard in this world. Many only think to the point of there nose and see nothing past that point. They do not put the thoughts or feelings of others into their scared selfish hearts and wonder why the have chest pains, wonder why they are alone and blame everything on anything else but their unwillingness to reach past their scared angry selves.

From the beginning of time, the world was like this. That is why God sacrificed His only Son, to give us a better life in Heaven if we only accept Him as our Savior. Deeply thought out write. Valentine
