farther apart

just some random thoughts

If people could be closer

and separated by more

 I would be hard pressed to find them

You are so close I could grab you

and hold you forever

Instead I shrink away

and make sure we never touch

I could fall to pieces in your arms

and be repaired nightly in your bed

sewn up and stitched together

A piece work person

held together with your love

or torn apart by your indifference...
