I Asked No Dream

I Asked No Dream

A Poem by Maya Luna
"

Just playing with words...

"

I asked no dream to come to me that night.

I willed to stay awake until the dawn.

My tortured soul held fast until the light.

By morning, all reality was gone.

I long to see your lovely face before me.

I live to hold your words within my heart.

Your light shines brightly and will always warm me.

The memories will do while we’re apart.
