A Lover's Eyes

A Lover's Eyes

A Poem by mrlennon
"

Writing love poetry with an old fashioned feel to it!

"

I look into those sweet ocean eyes

That draw me in like the constant tide

They are the color of nice hazel skies

"Tis a lovely beauty" my heart cried

I saw in her the star filled sheet of night

She was a moon who lit the dotted veil

Of sweet air did she show the full moons light

Was it from heaven did this maiden hail?

At dawns rays did she awaken in me

The feelings of a romantic gone insane

For I write to her words from an endless sea

My emotions for her continue to rattle my brain

I peer into those eyes that light a fire

A lovely look her mind loves to wear

Charming her with love, never would I tire

But actually asking her- how would I fare?
