The Decadence of Man

Man has always gone on a path of decline and destruction. It is a process of decadence.

From misery and pain did life come forth and hail
The burdens that we live with were a whips flail
Darkness and chaos rose once more from Earth
And of total despair did these events give birth

Oh the world would suffer and toil for mere gold
And in the process, greed and fraud took hold
The conglomerates of evil gained all the power
Peace and liberty then hid and began to cower

Hate spread across these lands like a great fire
And in it's smoked wake, fairness fell into a mire
Words of murder and kill began to grow resolute
Factions would form, bold lines that were absolute

Justice weeped at these pathetic animals growling
Their madness and chants were vibrating howling
"You are all fools to think that this is all that I saw
Once I am through, you shall be forced to learn law"

And from these words, the fall of humanity began
An ocean of corpses from a bloody river that ran
Destruction had left a trail of fallout and pestilence
A chilling reminder of mans progressive decadence
