ForgivenessA Poem by Matthew CloughI’m
as bitter as the coffee I drink at sunrise, as
begrudging as the stars vanishing in flame, as
desperate as the moon to remain in blue skies, as
fragile as the wiry clouds shattered by storm, as
hopeless as humans in the face of galaxies.
Yet
it spills from me as abundantly as deep pink waves tumbling
from absolute daylight into infinite horizon. © 2014 Matthew CloughReviews
