Sing Me

Sing Me

A Poem by Michael Sun Bear
"

Living a life in spirit.

"

Sing Me

Sing me Oh Lord

Like river over stone.

Raise me up

Like sap to the green fingers of fir.

Ferment me

Into sweet wine,

Leaven my faith

That I may nourish others.

Scatter my light

Like the far flung stars

Of night above desert sands.

Whisper in my ear

That my words be your words.

Forever fill my heart chalice

With love,

So I may let the thirsty

Drink of you.

Sing me Oh Lord,

Sing me!

This is a beautiful and reverent piece—lyrical, prayerful, and full of longing.

Thanks Neha. I’m glad you like it.
This reminds me of the songs they sang at the First Assembly church I attended for a bit, very beautiful and spiritual. ~Jim

Your words present thanks for what is and what will always be: faith in delivery and survival by a Higher Being. Superbly and gently laid, sir.
