I think about him very often... I really hope wherever he is he is doing better. He deserved to live with a healthy mind. He has an amazing soul and I miss him. We all miss him...
It's amazing that you write about him, this is beautiful but I really want you to be wrong about this :(. Even though I feel the same... Hope we feel wrong and he will be here soon.
He's a beautiful soul...somewhere recuperating...and sure to suddenly show up again and surprise us.
Our hearts call out to him...and we hope to see him again sometime.
This is beautiful.

I feel the same way...here and gone...I know he was troubled and took action to help himself.... his writing was introspective and beautiful...he dove deep into his reviews and his writing was very personal and honest.... I miss him too...your tribute was lovely....Thank you for that
Warmly, B
I have so many questions about this type of understanding ... not in any bad way, but in such a way that it draws me into the poem, to search its depths for answers. Who was this person? How does the reader know? What was their history? How did the reader find out, or is it a guess? A spiritual connection? Regardless of any of those answers, the piece itself is both jarring and thought provoking in such a way that it forces the reader to almost mourn someone they have more than likely never met. Which is good, as every spirit deserves a moment of mourning.
If this is true to you in any way, then my friend, I am so sorry for your loss.

One day he wrote a message indicating his mental health had deteriorated to the point he was going to check into a mental health unit in a hospital. He promised to return to the Cafe after thirty days.

It has now been several months since we heard from Ern, and I feel he took his own life. For whatever reason, he and I had quickly bonded; he was one of my first friends here. I think his work is still posted for you to read, if you so wish. MSB

Once upon a time, a crazy, talented poet from across the Salish Sea told me of an intense dream she experienced in which she was given a strange title for a poem, but nothing more. She felt it import.. more..
