Are we what we wear?

Sufi

A word, a name, a cloak?

University PHD fools

Of the field of Eastern studies

Claim with hollow authority

The name is derived from the Arabic word

Suf

Meaning wool

A reference to the dervish cloaks of old

Labels are meaningless

A Sufi would reply

Are we what we wear?

If a woman poet cloaks herself

In the alluring weave of AI

Will she find a home

Where she is accepted

As being as beautiful 

As her words?

Hi Michael.... We should not be labeled as to what we wear.... but fashion does take precedence somewhere in this world and especially women are prone to show off clothes than men.... (not a sexist) perhaps it gives them a sense of pride, beauty and status, good for the psyche....

I really like this poem...Sufis are the last in the world to need a name. They know how meaningless worldly names are. The woman with AI words? Yes, if she makes something meaningful from what AI helps her weave. :)
