We Must Not Stop

We Must Not Stop

A Poem by Michael Sun Bear
"

I just watched a very morose, very Irish movie. Blame it on that.

"

We seek

We write

Attempt to pry meaning

From our lonely lives

We write

Of kisses and caresses

Loves so large

Only a fool could have lost them

No pints in the pub

No vodka in the sleepless nights

It seems we lost it all, eh?

We are drowning in the past

With pen to page

We dog-paddle

Words and words and words scribbled

Thus we try to keep our heads afloat

Reach not for gun nor overdose

Tell me you read me

Throw me a life vest

Or maybe a stone….

Yeah, maybe a stone

Throw me a life vest

Keep fighting the good fight brother....:)
