A Conspiracy of Love

A Conspiracy of Love

A Poem by Michael Sun Bear
"

Prior to Covid shutting down our lives, I was for many years a Sufi Healing Conductor. I have tried to give a feel for the service performed weekly in response to nationwide requests for healing.

"
Years
Built upon years
Needs
Built upon needs
Friendships
Built upon friendships

In secret
We did gather, whether
His living room or her basement
Every meeting space and place defined
Not by wall nor door
For

We met within each heart
One to the other
In humble kneel at the hearth of
The One

My backpack held the altar entire
So soft the saffron silk, Ya Nur-
Oh Light Divine
Crimson heart of blackbird wing
Cradling a crescent moon
We fly to you Lord, finish
Filling our hearts with Light

Fresh flowers for Life
Incense for prayer rising
Water for purity and cleansing
A secret stone of amber, magnetism of the soul

I quiet the group
Synchronize our breathing
As we move spinal energy up
And down the chakras

We are a team, together for years
As one soul
Like the ring of a particle accelerator
Our Circle manifests and multiplies
Faith from heart to heart
To heart

I recite the week’s new names
In silent focus
We breathe their essence
Once in, once out
Let each name drop into
The chalice of each heart
Sending ripples of Love radiating

As conduits our prayers are answered
Yet again
His healing goes into the world

I especially like the light, the love and the friendship shown in your lines Michael. I understand how they can all contribute to wellbeing and healing. A poem with much warmth in it. All the best to you.

Thanks for reading Chris.
I was admiring how you employed Eastern terms, and arabian word too. A superb mystic poem wow. Kudos!

Plz also read and comment my newest poem too

Quiet, grounded, and real—this feels like faith built by hand in dim rooms where people actually show up.
There’s grit in that devotion, a circle of souls carrying light the hard way, one breath at a time.

Thank you Thomas. I was at my healthiest those years, giving of myself.
Whilst referring to no organised religion this poem resounds with teaching.

The closest I feel to that sort of peace is when I am so caught up in writing poetry that a day zips by without my noticing it. Well done. ~Jim

I miss the peace and joy of that service.
Reminds me in many ways of the group I have belonged to for 34 years. Like the poem's group, mine adheres to no organized religion, although the teachings of the Vietnamese Buddhist monk Thich Nhat Hanh are often studied. Sometimes spirituality flourishes best in informal settings.

Thanks for reading John and thank you truly for living a spiritual life. We are all on a spiritual .. read more
This feels like a meditation where we focus on breathing and our body synchronizing it with all around us to become one with all else. Nicely written and calming.

Once upon a time, a crazy, talented poet from across the Salish Sea told me of an intense dream she experienced in which she was given a strange title for a poem, but nothing more. She felt it import.. more..
