Do you hear poets near?A Poem by Michael Sun BearPoetsSome of us offer A long-stemmed pour A sparkling vintage Of word champagne A short pour adequate With its sweet bite Upon the tongue (And ear here) All of you I have read for the Intimacy of occasional lines So brilliant It’s like mainlining words Straight to the brain’s Pleasure Center Others, I plead guilty, Offer quick furtive pulls Of the hard stuff Drunk straight from the Bottles hid In closets, drier, Toilet reservoir We force the words to March on, but often The words race ahead Dragging us through A garbage dump Of memories Is this fun?
