I am extremely handicapped due to knee replacement surgery earlier this week. I am discovering what people really meant by their promises of any and all help I may need.

Dear Michael, real friends do not judge they accept their friends for who they are. Sorry to hear that you have had replacement knee surgery. I can only imagine the discomfort that must be causing you. Wishing you a speedy recovery. All the very best to you.

As commented to Betty, the poem was meant to be positive; I’m not sure why I tied it to surgery. Rereading my note I can only think of my brother who was less help than expected. People in my community where I live have been pretty great.
Hi Michael..guess what? I face knee surgery June 23...This does not make me a happy camper!!!
I believe the best friends are those who will accept you as you are in all ways...nobody wants to be judged...so best to find friend who who don't see a skewed world...

For me the recovery from my first knee replacement was so painful I swore never again. But then my left knee got so bad I suffered a severe injury simply walking down the hall. So knee number two fell under the knife. However I have rheumatoid arthritis which worsened recovery. I will say a prayer for you. I am now puzzled why I tied that to this poem. People have been quite helpful, have prayed for my recovery, sent a ton of cards.
