The beginning of the adventureA Chapter by Denisa Matei After walking around town for more than two hours looking for a hotel which still has available rooms, I finally found the perfect place. A guesthouse located in a more distant part of the city. Although at first I thought that the place is deserted and that nobody's there, a women with blond hair and green eyes appeared. She seemed very amazed when she first saw me and after a few seconds she finally said" "Welcome to the Cherry Blossom Guesthouse! How can I help you?" "I would like to rent a room for this week!" I said smiling. "Of course!" she said and then she wrote something in her notebook. Immediately after I took the key for my room, I went to the first floor. As soon as I opened the door I was amazed to view. Despite my arrival here, when I thought that this place is deserted, what I saw changed my impression. The room was very nicely decorated and had a large bed with silk sheets. The bathroom was also arranged as beautiful and it was was very clean. After I took a shower and after I rested a few minutes, I decided it was time to start searching for the book. I went downstairs speed and I met the owner of the guesthouse again. When I saw her I decided to ask her some questions. "Excuse me, do you know where the library is?" "It's in the center of the town!" "Center? I don't know how to get there!" I said a little embarrassed. "Don't worry, my daughter will show you!" she said and then she went upstairs. A few moments later a girl who looked just like the owner of guesthouse came to me. She had the same blond hair and the same bright green eyes as her mother. She was very beautiful. "Hi, I'm Alyssa!" she said. "Hey, I'm Elizabeth but you can call me Ely!Nice to meet you!" "Nice to meet you too! So my mom told me that you wanted to go to the library, right?" "Yes!" "Well then what are we waiting for, let's go!" she said and started to walk. After about 30 minutes spent on the road, we arrived in front of a huge white building, which had marble stairs large and two stone lions. From what Alyssa told me, they served as guardians for the library. I climbed the stairs and I got in front of a large door, I think it was as big as the ones from the movies. Before opening it, I looked back and I saw Alyssa still on the sidewalk. "Are you coming?" I asked puzzled. "No, my mom told me not to go inside the library! She says that there is a cursed book!" "Okay!" I said and then I went inside. What can I say? It doesn't look like the library from my city.It had just a few books and some were full of spiders webs. And no one was inside. I slowly approached the counter and hit the buzzer put there. After about five minutes of waiting, a women came, who, surprise, looked like the woman I met on the train a few hours ago. "What do you want, my dear?" she asked me with her sweet, squeaky voice. "I heard that you have a book which describes the story of a young vampire named Shadow. I want that book!" As soon as I said those words, she looked at me really scared. What's wrong with the book? I mean I read on the internet that is a very popular book. "No, no, not that book! It's cursed! I can't give it to you! The legend! No, I can't!" "Legend? What legend?" -It is said that when someone opens the book and reads the spell which is on the first page, that vampire's soul will come out of the book." "What?" "Yes! He returns, he takes someone soul with him and he keeps him captive to determine if this is the right person for him. This is the only way to broke the curse!" "Can you tell me more about the curse?" I asked becoming more curious. " You see, as I already said, when someone reads the book, the ghost comes out and takes that person's soul with him." " Oh my God, this is really interesting! Can you give me the book please?" "I'll give it to you but only if you promise me something?" "What?" "Don't read the spell because Shadow will destroy your life!" "I promise! I said and then I followed her until I got in front of a door full of spiders. The door was closed with a padlock and it looked pretty scary. Eh, let's see what will happen.
