In The CityA Poem by Mario VitaleA look at the cityIn The City
got to survive day by day with my back against the wall no one seems to catch you when you fall life in the fast lane playing the chance game there's lovers in the park at night all alone seasoned veterans that teach there own it maybe complex but I must confess the city life isn't for everyone make sure to bring up your young heads in standing order to deliver messages of rape, pillage & murder should I go any bit further blasting stereos in there souped up cars alone in the corner of the bar we each can learn something in which to deliver...
boardwalk with fancy talks built up upong the social scene spreading the disease throwing the frisbee in the park fightings with gangs & a chance to rearrange got your hopes on a new way of system the Panthers and the resistance so sorry to dismiss this hot dog stands with the pretzles yet there's still changes & I'm getting older can't be along much longer we falter through the very notion of love it's been commonly swept under the rug in the city you can let loose of any feeling that hurts inside... friends, family & peers will always be there with a cheer let me make something clear you will never be alone there in the day the streets are hot night times comes and you near forgot listen my son to what you have been taught © 2017 Mario Vitale |
