The Willow

The Willow

A Poem by Mario Vitale
"

love

"

light gives way to light
there are pillows on the sofa
old band music playing
a bird flutters in the window
give cadence to the simple
work on your rhymes;
solitude those quiet moments
thoughts permeate a collective base
move over Mozart their is a star
the Willow bends

nature's beckoning call
sought fetters as if in a dream;
blinded by sex appeal
the notion of blessings
following and engaging
hence the vast opened door

a good role model
moments you spent in thought
the brigade of harmony in a sought destiny
shallow peaks sprung a leak
as though visible as the naked eye
old man peed in the street
covers on sofa now
a unique blend
fancy pillows

The Willow quivers beneath the false hidden garb of nature's wandering way
conclaves of destiny in stark memory
the white man bleeds
start spreading the disease
we cross the stream
living in a land so very mean
will work for food
up to know good
The Willow warns
better wait your turn
out of hallows peak
we sprung a leak
