Spooky

In the tight stringent allyways of my mind

Dark deep pockets lie.

 

Creeping the shadows crawl

Upon this my very wall.

 

Enclosed within my chest

Heart beats thud against my breast.

 

Dilated pupils stare

As ghostly spectral’s glare.

 

Turn, turn panic strikes deep

Run, run, run

Screaming I awake

Sweating from my sleep.

 

Panting I notice the shadows crafty grin

Vanishing from my wall.

What an absolutely chilling write, sir! You certainly built up the panicking feeling I get when my alarm clock goes off... That heart thumping adrenaline mess for the next few minutes...

Horror upon horror , this is a scary , your font adds to the imapct very clever . Spooky!

you built up the panic and suspense in an eery atmosphere... it reminds me of those times when the dream feels so real they chase you into the lucid realm, you can still feel the effects all around, and your brain cannot will your body to move. my grandmother told me not to sleep with my hands over my chest, that's what gives me nightmares... so I stopped doing that, and I didn't believe her... then I did it one night and indeed dreamt a nightmare, now I never do it anymore..!

well it DOES appear you need that pillow too? The font makes this very very spooky , just in time for Halloween! *** Don't go up the stairs!*** ( in the spooky movies, they ALWAYS go up the stairs, while all from the couch we scream nooooooooooooo, no way out from upstairs sheesh! on a serious note though, nightmares are horrendous to experience how well you expressed this fear and anxiety!
