DyingA Poem by linear
It's funny how the emotions first wrapped around me
Like a fragrance from a childhood memory. The touch, your tracings of light fingertips Over responsive and tactile skin. But it was all so short Spring, summer and then the fall The swirling of dying leaves and you drifted away Why did I not notice? Emotions change, grow into things I cannot tell I was impotent, not able to hold you, keep you safe from harm. And I just watched as the dying leaf fell...... © 2013 linearFeatured Review
