Dying for someone

who would you die for?

Living for someone,

Would you truly devote your life, your energy

All to one person.

In a world where martyrs are celebrated and heroes

put others before themselves.

Surely dying for another,

is in fact,

harder than to live for someone.

But what they never told us was that

To live for someone 

Seems toxic 

Maybe a selfless act

But would you ever get those moments back?

That satisfaction is not real

Surely you should live for yourself
