Grave SadnessA Poem by Blackened Soul
The mist, is rolling forth,
Fogging my empty soul, With cold intentions, I'm led to a hole, Dragging me down, Far below, Beneath the loose ground, To the quiet place, Where my sorrow grows, Forever erasing, The shadows of my life, And as he chokes me, I accept his lie, Promising peace, In my last rites, Yet bringing only sadness, Devoid of light, Wrapping me in chains, For I cannot rest, Securing me in my coffin, A spirit depressed, Lowering down, Into the dirt, A nameless grave, I cannot divert, For nobody remembers me, Now that I have tasted death, Forever I shall mourn, In place of those that still draw breath. © 2013 Blackened SoulReviews
