Fever

Fever

A Poem by Cupcakes
"

Something I wrote long time 'go. :) also cause i didn't wanna join empty handed i 'spose.

"

Are you crying?

Emotions tainted with a faint sound like they're lying

Slowly eating, Sweeping feelings like forever

Never meant a thing, brushing on the edges of this lonely wing

I can feel it's sting, like a cough inside your chest that wont let you sing

Hanging sadness

I understand this

It's a fever

But don't you see dear?

Our lives are all intertwined for a purpose

Forcing us to live outside of our conscious

Can't break it down

Behind these walls

It's a fever

Pain and sorrow

They may seem like things that always break tomorrow

Feeling lost

But remember what we are without those things

Fight for fear and live no matter what the cost

It hurts now and maybe always will

But I won't take that pill

I want a fix that will last never give away my past

Borrowing wounds from someone else like my life went by to fast

These are excuses I want to bury one hundred feet deep

And forget why

I ever had this fever
