Shattered

hearts beat fast,
eyes meet as sweethearts walk past.
Hope is drawn near to the heart,
when wishing for love to never part.
Disaster strikes hastily,
when dreams are shattered vastly.
Hope starts to fade as broken hearts slip through the dawn of day
thus the red hearts sorrowfully wither to the darkest shade of gray.
What was once loved by the heart so dearly,
now drowns the heart in the sea of pain so severely.
No where to run, no where to hide,
the mind, heart, body, and soul are broken inside.
The heart longs for the name it once sung,

it does not care of the pain it lives among.

Never will you forget the one you loved the most,

for the memories you shared together shall haunt you like a ghost.
