Hello, Beautiful

Hello, Beautiful

A Poem by Michael Hess

Hello, beautiful.

You know who you are.

Do you remember that day we spent in my car?

We had our good times,

We had our laughs and memories.

But do you know how much you mean to me?

You're my best friend,

And I hope that never ends,

But my feelings go deeper than you can see.

I'll always be by your side

Through the days and the goodnights,

To wipe the tears from your eyes,

To hope that you can see

How much you mean to me.

It's the way your brown eyes shine

When everything is fine.

It's the way you hide your emotions

When you're breaking down inside.

Babe, I'm here to let you know

It's okay to let it go.

It doesn't make you weaker.

You're still the strongest girl I'll ever know.

That night we were

"Made of Honor",

You fit so perfectly in my arms.

Your smile was the brightest,

Impossible to miss.

The only thing I missed that night was you

After you'd left.

It's the way your brown eyes shine

When everything is fine.

It's the way you hide your emotions

When you're breaking down inside.

Babe, I'm here to let you know

It's okay to let it go.

It doesn't make you weaker.

You're still the strongest girl I'll ever know.
