A Story by michelle-entendu

My heart beats to your footsteps, echoing your coming and going.  There’s a fatal disconnect in my chest, you could take me down with one wrong move.  I didn’t ask for this, sometimes the wrong questions become answers.  Look at your hands, stained and dirty.  They’re useless in this mess but I’m just wasting breath.  I taste oceans when I wake, to be safe I’ll stay asleep until the tides disappear.  I’ll find my answers, I’ll find my rhythym.
