Motor Mouth

Motor Mouth

A Poem by Michelle Gent
"

My daughters chatter box tendencies

"
Motor Mouth-

Chattering Charlee's mouth-
Is always on the move
From morning up till sun down
She could have a show down
With her mouth

Wiping out all competition
You don't need to be a gun slinger
When you have a hum dinger of a mouth
From east, west, north, south
She's the reining champion of gab, no doubt

Chattering Charlee's-
A walking mouth on feet
A foot-in-mouth sole/sandwich
She could cause some significant damage
With her karate chop mouth

And give an auctioneer
A run for his money
Leave him crying on his ear

She could put her money
Where her mouth is, a whole crane full
Nothing shameful when a crane
of capital fits in

A moment of silence please, in recognition
In respect of her powerful mouth
It wouldn't be burdensome
In fact it would be welcomed for a piece of pie
In her mouth

It would silence her briefly
Momentarily, for a second, but then
Her mouth would be off
Off to the races again
