How can she smile

How can she laugh

How can this girl

Move on so fast

 

The mask is there

The tears she hides

As she swears

She never cried

 

The hopes she had lost

The dreams that ran away

But she still waits

Day by day

 

For something to come back

She forgets what it was

Something she lacks

But for what cause

 

He's standing there

Her smile fades

As she remembers

All the ways

 

He use to hold her

Play with her hair

Kiss her cheek

Pretended to love her

 

She looks away

Not wanting to reveal

The tears she cried

And the face that hides
